Hi,
I'm planning a 3 week Winter time trip to the northern reaches of Germany (Hamburg, Bremen, Kiel, Berlin etc...).
I'm planning to go late December to catch Christmas and over New Years also. I've read it averages 0-4 degress celsius during that period.
My questions are:
a) Is it realistic that snow on the ground can be expected ?
b) For a tourist walking around towns all day, you would have to rug up quite a bit I expect. Any tips on well insulated clothing (I'm from Australia where it doesn't get that cold!) ?
c) Being holiday season in Germany, would I have difficulty getting a room in Guest Houses (walk in) ?
Any answers would be much appreciated,
Manga
