Hello all,

I would like to ask your opinions on the best French restaurant or Brassiere in the West Berlin area.

My wife and I are planning a visit to some friends and want to surprise them for their anniversary.

We are looking for a nice atmosphere, good food and maybe a funky bar to have a few drinks later.

Other good ones are the http://www.entrecote.de/(Mitte, near Friedrichstraße) and http://belmondo-berlin.de/ (Charlottenburg, near Savignyplatz) - in the latter case, there are dozens of bars in the area.
