Hello, does anybody know about an airport near Munich called Neubiberg Ab? Much cheaper fares are available if you choose to fly there as opposed to the main airport in Munich (MUC). The problem is, how do you get from Neubiberg into Munich, or make a transfer to the other airport if you need to make a connection? My head is starting to spin from all the google searches I've done, if anybody has any info, that would be a great help.
Happy travels, somebodyrich.

There is (was?) the Munich Neubiberg Air Base Airport (airport code MIG) - are you sure there are commercial flights going there, to me it seems to be a military airport.
I didn't find any more information either, though a quick google search with "neubiberg flughafen" gives some hits saying "the former airport in Neubiberg" - maybe it's not in use anymore?
Besides, the website of Neubiberg doesn't say anything about any airport in its transport section (Verkehrsanbindung): click here, and just gives S-Bahn connections to Munich.
Neubiberg Air Base on Wikipedia.
Even though there is a runway (see satelitte picture ) there is no airport (see map ), only the Bundeswehr University.
However, priceline claims to offer cheap flights from Neubiberg, I don't think that there are any commercial flights.

You'd just get the S-Bahn, but since there is only a runway but no airport there is no use going there anyway, right?
May be you mistook Neubiberg airport for Memmingen Airport / Memmingen Airport homepage?
Otherwise, Salzburg Airport is also close by and might offer cheaper flights than Munich airport itself.
