In a couple of weeks I'm going camping with my family in Germany, specifically to Thuringia/Saxony, the area known as Saxon Switzerland sounds really nice. We want to find some nice, simple and tranquil campsites to stay at. We prefer places that either don't allow caravans or at least have a separate area for tent campers. Does anyone have any campsite recommendations or perhaps websites that are a good source for this kind of campsite?

I'm no camping expert - rather too long ago now to make a sensible comment! - however, I do know camping is not permitted within the Saechsische Schweiz National Park, so you'll need to make trips into the park from wherever you put your tent. Sorry I can't advise further

Thanks. Now we know where we can't camp. Some comments on some nice places where we can would also useful too :-)
