Hey All,
My Family and I (3 of us) want to do a Rhine River Tour the last week of September. There are a bunch of tour companies out there, but I was hoping for a personal recommendation. We're looking to do a 3 or 4 day tour and it doesn't matter where it starts - be it in Strassbourg or on the German side. I am however living in Germany. Thanks!

Please keep in mind that I did this 6 years ago, and things could have changed a lot.
In my case I went to Koblenz and from there I took a boat that goes down the rhin all the way to Mainz....you can hop on and off as you like. You can also start from further up north...say Köln for example. No need for a tour company, these are boats that run a couple of times a day, with an acurate timetable.
Cant remember if I paid just one time or I had to pay each time i got on, but it wasnt expensive at all.
They sell books of the rhin with briefs descriptions of the towns youll pass along, with that you could choose where you can spend the night.
Its an amazing trip...castles all along the river and the boat has audio comentarry of all the important places. In some places I just stopped for a couple of hours until the next boat came or I spent the night.
