Hi all,

I will be spending next semester in Berlin (attending Freie universität) and am really excited about it. Have already started thinking about where in Berlin would be a nice place to live for a 25 years old student looking for a good time and cool hang outs. I´ve been told my several people that Prenzlauer Berg is a cool place, so kinda thinking about that neighborhood, but open for suggestions! Also wondering if you guys now any good websites for checking out places to live. I am really interesting in sharing a flat (or something similar) with germans, as it would be a great way to improve my German.

That´s it for now. All help will be very much appreciated!

Tschuss

Circus Hostel has a useful page about "staying longer" in Berlin.

I have been here just some weeks, but I have found that either PenzlauerBerg, Friedrichshain or Kreuzberg are really nice. I personally prefer the latter two. That way you do not end up travelling an hour back from the cool bars. Just beware that you'll spend at least 40 min getting to and from FU.

www.studenten-wg.com or www.wg-gesucht.com are both good websites for flat sharing.
