Nearby Ladenburg is a top thing. Heidelberg venues itaelf are easily to google.
In a rush, A.
PS. If you mean to visit Heidelberg in a rush, better skip it. Since you really have to climb the castle at the outside instead of taking the claustrofobic old rickety cablecar/funeculare. And to watch at the central square how funny middle-aged and young people are communicating.
Don't know what you mean by Heidelberg lake, obviously no typing error since you are asking about other lake(s)
Edited by: arizona to add a remark about 'lake'.
If you visit the castle, walk along the river and maybe along Philosophenweg, and otherwise just walk around the old town and soak up the beauty and the atmosphere, you will have plenty to do for two days. I did all this within one day and did not even feel that rushed, it is not a big city and everything is close together. If you feel like it, you could even visit a few museums or churches as well.
I walked up to the castle and depending on your fitness level, the walk is not even that strenuous - it depends on how much you are used to walking.
Ok, good pieces of advice, I will go up the castle, definitely not in the cablecar. I have read it is a strenuous hike. How bad can it be??
Also, what is Philosophenweg..? Is it an area further up the castle?
I assume I should get a rucksack with "fuel" in it, it looks like it's going to be a day trip! I promise I WONT rush Cosmopolitan!
