Hello fellow knitters!
As I am going to Berlin next week I hope to pick up some sock yarn of good quality. Can anyone recommend a yarn store with a good selection?? I like On-Line and Opal, especially the 'Hundertwasser' collection, but is also open to suggestions of other yarns that I might not know of - yet....
I have shopped in 'Näh-kästchen' just north of Alexanderplatz but found their stock a bit limited, and the lovely shop way out east (can't remember the name - run by a sweet, old lady) had to close due to renovations and increased rent....
When I ask the same question about London I got a snotty answer from some yank who suggested I google it - it was dead easy to find yarn stores that way.... BUT, what I want is local knowledge, who has a good selection, and that info can't be got on the internet!! Also welcome tips about knitting related stuff that might happen between 9th and 13th of October.
