Hi I am looking to book train tickets for Dec from Frankfurt Airport to Marburg, below are the 2 options that the bahn.co.uk site gives me. Has anyone got any suggestions as to which train station at the airport to use and also in the 2nd option it advises of a 10 min connection walk from the S-Bahn to the main station I have read this is a huge station so would it be possible to get there in 10 mins with luggage and not knowing where we are going within the station exactly. Thanks

There is not really a big difference between the two, except the price, as the ICE train on the airport - Hbf leg will make the ticket more expensive.

Getting from the S-Bahn platform at Frankfurt Hbf to your Intercity train is easy and should be do-able in 10 minutes - the S-Bahn station is right below the railway station, all you need to do is get on the escalator or into an elevator up to the ground floor, and walk to your platform. The hbf is a "stub-end" station, so its really easy to find your way around.

At Frankfurt airport, just follow the signs either for "Fernbahnhof" (Fernbf, the station for fast long-distance trains), or "Regionalbahnhof" (Regionalbf, the one for the S-Bahn and other local or regional trains).

Have fun in Marburg!

You could also travel with regional trains only.

DB timetable
From: FRA airport
To: Marburg
and select as means of transport "only local transport".
Will be only 10-20 minutes slower. But cheaper. EUR 12,50.
Such a RMV ticket would also cover the buses in Marburg, if this is of any use for you.
