Hi there,
I can't decide whether to buy a German rail regional pass for E125 or buying the ticket point to point. Do you know how much is the (2nd class) ticket from Frankfurt to Prague and Frankfurt to Budapest?
Someone told me to visit Rothenburg. How much is the ticket from Franfurt to Rothenburg then? I'm getting nervous cause in a few days time, I'm flying there and I haven't time for preparation.
Thanks for answering.

DB timetable
From: Frankfurt
From: FRA airport
To: Prague
To: Budapest
To: Rothenburg ob der Tauber
For a single trip a rail pass will normally make no sense. Or are these 2 independent return trips you want to make from Frankfurt?
You could also buy a ticket Frankfurt - Prague - Budapest.
There are nighttrains Frankfurt-Prague and Budapest-Frankfurt, sometimes German railways offer deals, just check their homepage (English version).

note that there are many different types of tickets, like single return and they also depend on the type of train and your AGE!
also: the GERMAN pass will NEVER cover portions of trips OUT of DE, so you must buy additional tickets Borderpoint-to destination. you can also do that at ANY DE train station with staff.
IF you can get along wiht, its mostly in german and IF you hit the right date/ you can get EUROPAsparpreise on DIRECT trains DE-Bpest [and some t Praha, but NOT from FRA) for 39 or even 29 eur/single, double return. IF you can get them, thats the far lowest price to get

Ask bahn.de and it will tell you. Or cobble a Länderticket for Bavaria (for example Bayern Ticket single, approx 18 Euro one day (after 9am) one person unlimited travel all over Bavaria on local trains) and a one way from Frankfurt to Kahl (last station in Hessen, approx 7Euro) together. Local transport will take longer.

Thankyou all. I'll try to check them or bring along the information when I start my trip tomorrow.
It's good to hear from you. I'm very worried, lost my appetite and feel sick. Though I've been travelling a lot, I'm old. Visiting 3 countries with 3 unknown languages and currency, and hearing upsetting stories with not enough time to read, surf and prepare make me anxious. One friend said, "why do you have to travel like this?" But, I really enjoy travelling, meeting other people and visiting new places.
Anyway, even if I can't use your information, talking to you and getting responses ease my anxiety.
My trip will be Franfurt to Prague to Budapest and back to Frankfurt for 3 weeks. If I travel by bus, can you help me by telling me a bus company and station at Franfurt (the first journey). Thanks.
