#2 is correct about the name, but I read that many years ago it was decided to call the airport Frankfrut-Hahn because nobody had ever heard of the small town Hahn if they didn't live in Germany so nobody knew where it was. They borrowed the Frankfurt name because it was reasonably close and everyone knows about Frankfurt.

Hi, as I have travelled that route a lot I can tell you, that it is best to go by bus from Hahn to the Frankfurt Airport. It takes 1hr 45 min and costs 12 Euro. You can check the timetable under www.bohr-omnibusse.de<BR>The busses leave just in front of the airport and go at least every hour.
