The weather forecast predicts rain throughout the day, so walking around won't be much fun. There are excellent museums in Frankfurt, see here what might be of interest to you:

p.s. additionally, a citytour leaflet , direct S-Bahn to/from the airport at the Hauptwache stop near no.18 on that map.

Thanks so much, very helpful!
If it's going to rain, is there any good shopping areas for fashion and souvenirs? Any food we should try?
Thanks again :)
Take the S-Bahn from the airport to Hauptwache, get off and you are at the main shopping street, Zeil. Lots of construction going on right now, but close to the Hauptwache there is the newly renovated Galeria Kaufhof , which has its own entrance from the S-bahn station underground so you won't get wet, next to it there is the Zeil Galerie, a shopping center.
The cafeteria in the Galeria Kaufhof is really good, not your typical department store café at all. It's in the 7th floor, if the weater clears up you have a great view over Frankfurt. But when I look out of the window, I doubt it'll clear up.
Applewine is the typical drink of Frankfurt, it's a matter of taste, I prefer the French applewine which is sweeter.
As a newbie, you may order your Apfelwein 'süß gespritzt', i.e. mixed with lemonade. Alternatively, you can have it 'sauer gespritzt' (slightly thinned down with water) or 'pur' (i.e. pure).
A traditional local dish could include 'Grüne Soße' as a garnish, a cold sauce made mainly from fresh herbs (chervil, borage, sorrel etc.) and sour cream, which -if well prepared- tastes delicious to potatoes and boiled meat (or fish).
If you've only time for a quick-eat at noon, consider the centrally located and lively 'Kleinmarkthalle' (can be accessed from the 'Neue Kräme' pedestrian street or from the 'Hasengasse'), Frankfurt’s source of deli and other fine food, located in a fine building from the Fifties. Though it's mainly fruit and vegetable sellers, butchers etc., a lot of them sell snacks, too (especially on the upper level).
