Hello! I'll be visiting Munich for about 5 days in early July, and am wondering what neighborhood I should stay in. I'm in my twenties and am looking for areas that are hip, cool, and have lots of cafes and boutiques. I'd also prefer areas that are less touristy and more frequented by locals. I don't need to be centrally located, near the Marienplatz, but it is necessary that the area have good access to the U-Bahn. Also I should mention that I am renting an apartment from Air BnB as opposed to getting a hotel. So far it seems that Schwabing is the area for me, but I do hear that it can be quite touristy. Any suggestions/help in the matter would be much appreciated!!

Munich Lehel is quite cool it almost has a village feel but is very small and just a 20 minute walk to the Mareinplatz.
