Campervan Hire - Germany

The California VW will be fine, I don't know of any campervan for rent that would be smaller (no one rents out these "old" campervans you wrote about, who would take the responsibility for breakdowns?). Production of the vans you might think about ("hippie van") was ceased around 1979. The VW California is the successor of the vans you probably wrote about.

There should be no problem with the villages as it's not larger than a normal car. Europeans do have to drive through these villages as well ;)

The more modern equivalent to the old T1 (split screen) is the T4. There are plenty of them around.
But there are also other brands that have popup tops.
Toyota, Mazda are just tow that come to mind.

The latter are too old to hire out, unless you find someone who does this privately.

Please post a picture of what you are looking for, I still cannot understand what you are up to. There are no smaller campervents to rent.

The OP simply wants someone to give him some websites that hire campervans. ANY campervan. I think he has now realized that the Calfornia would be fine but he can't find anywhere to hire one of them or a Toyota or a Mazda for that matter.
