Fortunately, the S-Bahn has NOT gone on strike! All S-Bahn go regularly or even more often than normal, but will be fuller than usual (and probably crowded during rush hour).
All other public transport (U-Bahn, Bus, Tram) are on strike (open end). There are emergency buslines along the most important U-Bahn-lines to bring people to the next S-Bahn-Stopp. Appr. every 30 mins, see: http://217.9.46.158/grafik/Notnetz.PDF

Latest news is that BVG (metro, trams , busses) start operating Monday, 17 March. However, it's possible that the strike will continue.
