Just a quick question.

Is there any interesting place near HBF to spend an hour and a half between trains?

It can be anything, really. A Kneipe, a currywurst place or a gallery.

I`ll be there tomorrow afternoon and I´m getting bored of the Hauptbahnhof itself.

Looking for new ideas.

Much appreciated.

If the weather is nice (if it's walkable for you)

Medizinhistorisches Museum der Charité ? (too strong for me...)
Haus der Kulturen der Welt?
Hamburger Bahnhof?
Naturkundemuseum?
Invalidenfriedhof?

if the weather is fair enough, hiking along the Spree (westwards) is nice. famous Baumkuchen at Buchwald (Holsteiner Ufer/Bartningallee). Buchkantine is nice if you like either cakes or books (or both) - yet with the location Dortmunder Straße/Bochumer Straße, I fear timewise it would be pushing it a bit, even if it's just one/two stops back to Hbf.

Written in #2 nearby is the ex-railway station Hamburger Bahnhof what is now a nice museum where you can also find restaurants. Not enough time to see all but 90 minutes to see something different.

A belated thank you to all of you.

Was traveling and on a digital diet.

Very helpful suggestions.

Thanks again.

Check the Hamburger Bahnhof, the museum of modern art, just 5 mins from Hauptbahnhof.
