Hi Guys!
Three of us have exactly a 24 hour lay-over in Frankfurt in early July. We arrive mid-afternoon and depart the same time the next day. Any tips on what we should see and do with such a small window of opportunity?

Assuming mid afternoon means you could be on a train by 15:30, get a train to St Goar and grab the last http://www.k-d.com upstream to Mainz, arriving 20:30, head back to FRA for dinner and a sleep. Quick spin round Frankfurt gazing at sky scrapers in the morning, back to the airport to fly on.
Alternatively, Heidelberg.

Hi,
I would recommend Heidelberg, it is about 90 minutes by train and defintely worth a visit. But I would leave early the second day in order to make sure to see as much of Heidelberg as you can, but also be back for your flight.
On the day you arrive, you could visit one of the Museums at Muesumsufer (they should be listed on the Website of Frankfurt) and have a typical dish for dinner afterwards in one of the restaurants in Sachsenhausen (very close to Muesumsufer). After that I would recommend a little walk on the Main river to see the skyscrapers by night.
