My husband & I will be in Paris in mid-September. I was surfing the internet a few days ago and found out there will be a Django concert while we are there. Now I can't find it! Rats!! I have tried to find a site for listing of planned programs in September and I cannot find one. Can you help me?

Any ideas if there are any branches/ATM's of Barclay/ BNP Paribas in Avignon and CDG airport? Our bank card waives the service charge if we use these banks. Any other idea for getting the best exhange rate from US dollars to Euro? Thanks

Can someone give me step-by-step directions on how to get to the RER B station. Is the shuttle bus discontinued? What is the CDGVAL and where does it pick me up (which stairs, door to use to get to it) and where does it drop me off (which stop, the name of the RER station, etc.)?

Heading for Paris in Sept and looking for cheap accommodation, but don't fancy staying in Montmarte much.

Most hostels seem to be located there, unfortunately.

It's not that it's a horrible place, but isn't near a lot of stuff we want to see, and we are walking freaks - we want to stay in a place where we can walk everywhere (and resort to the metro/bus only when we must).

I see that the cantine at BHV (department store rue de Rivoli in the Marais) has re-opened, and gets good reviews - thoough 10€ is not exactly cheap for a lunch where workers stop to eat: Ma Cantine - BHV

I remember a very good "cantine" belonging to an association in the 10th arrondissement; can't think of the name - it was cheaper than that and the food was abundant and decent. There are other restos associatifs about, and some cantines of various descriptions are open to the public.

I'm going to propose to my girlfriend (for 8 years) in Paris this summer. I need help and suggestions about where in Paris to do this.
1. At top of Eiffel tower late at night. Is there a platform at the top, or should I do it in one of the restaurants?
2. Nice, quiet and romantic restaurant. Any good suggestion about which restaurant?
3. Picnic in a garden on a blanket. Any suggestion about which garden? Allowed to drink whine in the gardens?
