Hey all,
I'll be travelling around Europe this summer. After visiting Italy (last city will be either Milan or Turin), I plan to go to France. At first, I thought about only going to Paris (time is missing), but now, I am also considering visiting Provence since it's quite near. I have 2 questions:
1- Is 4 days a good amount of time to visit major attractions in Paris?
2- If I decide to visit Provence, what would be the logic route to fallow (train from Turin to Provence, then train (or plane) from…
Hi there!
I've just booked my flights for July 30th-August 5th for Paris. I hear Pariseans tend to leave the city for the month to go to coastal areas so I hope everything will still be open!
Myself and my partner are looking for a central hotel to stay in, €80-100, we will be doing alot of sight seeing so we want something that is very central or easily accessible.
I've printed out lots of maps and researched plenty of hotels but i'm finding it hard to tell whether they are central or not…
My wife and I are flying into Geneva first week in June for 6 days. We are experienced mountaineers but want to spend the time walking in the alps within an hour or two's drive from Geneva. We are particularly wanting to see alpine flowers rather than glaciers. Can anyone suggest good areas/routes to explore? Many thanks.
Hello !
We are a couple from India in our 50s and visiting Paris + Avignon next week. We are also vegetarians - no meat, fish, eggs etc.
Can anyone recommend Indian restaurants serving typical Indian food in Paris and Avignon? In paris - preferably close to Gare du Lyon and Bercy Area. In Avignon area - anywhere should be ok.
We are looking at South Indian food generally - but Gujarati and Rajasthani food will also be great. Punjabi / Mughlaai is of course always welcome.

Hello,
I am planning a 6 week trip to Europe and I was looking ahead on my calendar and found out that I am planning on being in Paris for Bastille Day. I was not sure what to expect. What major events happen that day? (I've read there's a big military parade and fireworks, but that's about all I can find) Will most restaurants/stores be closed? How about the Louvre, Notre Dame or the Eiffel Tower - will they be open or closed? Any suggestions on activities I should take part in that day?

Hi there,
I'm heading to SouthWest France in the middle of July for 13 days. Actually flying into and out of Gerona in Spain then intend to hire a car and tour around a bit. We (Two of us going) know people near Cahors so this is where we intend to get to but will only stay a few nights so if any one knows of places we should visit and stay in the region it would be great to get some advise. Plan is for it to be fairly relaxed- exercise, wine tasting etc
Any help will be much appreciated!
Thanks
