Hello everyone
I am planning to go to Paris, my first trip to France, for a month in April 2008.
My plan is to set myself up in an apartment or a b&b apartment for the month. I'll spend a fair amount of time in Paris, but might decide to go on a couple of 1-2 day quick trips to outlying places of interest.
My initial thoughts are to go see Monet's house in Giverny, and to go to Vaux-Le-Vicomte. I would love dearly to see Mont St-Michel -- it is further away, so possibly, but maybe for another…
Hi,
I have to spend a night at the airport Charles de Gaulle. Has anyone an idea, where is a good place to stay?
If not at the airport, any suggestions for a cheap hostel not far away?
Thanks for helpful answers!
Hello,
I am taking a last minute trip to Paris next weekend and haven't had any luck with hostelz.com or hostelworld.com - all hostels seem to be fully booked. Do hostels in Paris reserve some beds for walk-ins? If a hostel is fully booked on this sites, is it actually fully booked, or has the site simply filled up its quota?
Any suggestions for smaller hostels that may not be on these sites - and therefore more likely to have vacancies?
Thanks!
Jelena
Hey guys!
Not really sure whether i should post this here.
I was thinking of climbing the alps in france during the christmas holidays. Does anyone happen to know of any good guide companies which organise such trips during the winter? Also roughly how much would it cost me to climb the alps? I'm happy to join a random group of strangers to go climbing with.
Cheers guys!

Hey TT Family...
My family (parents, brother and wife, my wife, and our 3 children) are looking to rent a home or several apartments in the same building in late September. Apparently there is a large rugby tournement going on and we are having trouble finding a suitable place. Any suggestions anyone could provide would be much appreciated. Our preference would be a 4 BR/2+ bath home or apartment that is centrally located to downtown Paris. Thanks for any suggestions. Happy travels./
Hi, I have a week off at the end of June. My partner and I want to go with our 10 month old daughter to France. We live in the UK and will be crossing to Northern France from Kent. We thought about Normandy because it isn't too far to drive to.
Problem is we don't know the area and are struggling to find a base.
So far, i have found a really nice property in Notre Dame de Courson, near Orbec. However it seems to be in the middle of nowhere. Which isn't a bad thing as long as we can find a town…
Hi,
My friend and I are planning to visit Paris this year, but we are not sure when is the best time to go. Also, which month can we find the cheapest tix from Los Angeles to Paris? I have been doing search on line, but nothing lower than USD$950. Is that the best rate I can find?
We want to spend about 2-3 day at Disneyland Paris Resort and 4 days in the city. What are the places I shouldn't miss?
Thank you for your help in advance!
Howard
A friend and I are planning a week in and around Biarritz in August. We are planning on taking some surfing lessons whilst there, and hiring a car to tour the region. I know there are plenty of surf schools, but does anybody have any personal recommendations? Also, any tips on what else to see and do in the region? Mostly interested in scenery, architecture, culture. Thanks.
I am heading to Reims for a weekend In Aug and was seeking some advice on:
Where to stay?
Which are the best champagne caves to visit?
How to incorporate a vineyard tour into the weekend?
Where the vienyards are?
Thankyou,
Emma
Hi, I searched but I think the words are so generic too many things popped up. I'm going to be in Nice the 2nd week of July and am currently training to run a marathon at the end of October, I'd like to get some runs in while on vacation, does anyone know of any good jogging trails in or around Nice? Need to be something I can walk to since I won't have a car.
Thanks.
