Hi all,
I am keen to go to Bastia in Corsica for a week or ten days at the end of August. I am looking for any information anyone may have, such as the best beaches, places to go, getting aroung (do I need to hire a car), recommended visits etc. It will be two of us travelling for a relaxing break, but with something to do once the beach has satisfied the relaxation. We will be on a budget to an extent, but not excessively.

In terms of beaches, can you recommend a nice, sandy beach without a HUGE…

There must be at least a few people here who are planning on going, so here are a few things you should know.

The nearest metro stations (Trocadéro, Bir-Hakeim and Ecole Militaire) will close at 4 pm tomorrow. The RER C stations (Kennedy, Champ de Mars-Tour Eiffel and Pont de l'Alma) will close at 6 pm. I will be in Paris for New Years Eve and my friends and I are trying to figure out what to do. We tried to book a reservation with the restaurant at the top of the Eiffel Tower but it's already sold out. Please let me know if anyone has any suggestions.
