I'm considering heading over to Paris late next year to be an au pair, however, most of the agencies I've researched online look suspicious! Can anyone recommend a legitimate, reliable company to use?
ps. I'm Australian.
Thanks!

Planning a trip in mid-September to Corsica. Taking the fast ferry from Nice to Calvi, staying 3 nights in Porto.
Plan to see Calvi either when we get in or on the way back.
-Looking for a reliable taxi co/ car service to Porto where we will be staying
-What is not to be missed in Porto and around? Scandola national reserve by boat and the cliffs are on the list!
-We are avid bird and wildlife watchers. Any recommendations for a bird guide would be great!
-We will not have a car, but will hire a…

I understand it is possible to purchase or lease a car in France and then sell it back to the original owner thus avoiding many tax's and insurance costs . Are there restrictions and who handles these transactions?

We are planning a 2 week trip to France next June and are trying to get a basic itinerary down. We know we want to spend 4 days in Paris (including a day trip to Versailles), then go to Lyon for about 2 days- likely by train. From there we want to tour the south of France and end up in Nice to fly out of. We likely want to spend 2 days in Nice (including the travel day). I have heard that staying somewhere like St-Remy de Provence as a base, renting a car and doing some day trips out to Arles…

I have found a small flat on AirBnB for a Paris stay. It's a brand new listing with no reviews so I'm a bit hesitant. The price makes it much better value than most other similar places. This might be because the host has set the price low to attract his first clients but I'm worried about it being a scam. Does anyone have any tips about how to verify if the place is legit? I ran a reverse image search on the photos to see if they had been lifted from somewhere but nothing came up.
Thanks

Hey

I'm from the UK,Planning to spend a few months in France. I'll be moving around a fair bit. I need to be able to call people in the UK... some of these cals may be quite long and regular. They may also call me.

Does anyone have suggestions as to the cheapest way for me to do this. I'm reading lots of info about it, I'm interested in personal experience in this.

IT will also be useful for me to have a french number so I don't deter people calling me from french numbers...out of fear of the…

I'm heading to Paris with my 12 yo daughter and have been looking into buying a city pass which will give us entry into a lot of major sites. The children's pass is a lot cheaper than the adult pass. The problem is that it is only good for children up to 11 years of age. My question is- if I went ahead and bought the child's pass online for my daughter, would I be asked for proof of age on entry to any of the sites?

It is one of the very rare (if not only) skyscrapers in the city centre of Paris. Plus, the building is actually facing the Eiffel tower which gives visitors a perfect view of the modern architectural wonder, as well as a panoramic experience of the entire Paris from 200 meters above. What amazed me is that for such an exclusive location the tower was not crowded (nor expensive) at all. For a price of €15, we could truly just relax, enjoy and take photos without pushing…

I'm flying with Air Madagascar from Charles de Gaulle Airport, and live in London. Air Mada don't have any code sharing with other airlines so it's much more expensive to book flights from London. So I've just booked flights from Paris. I'd prefer to take the eurostar to Paris than fly as I live quite close to St. Pancras in London. But eurostar say they are unable to give me any statistics about punctuality. I want this in order to gauge how much time to allow. It's absolutely ridiculous. So I…

Hi all,

A simple question I hope. I'm planning to do some hiking in September in the Alps above Chamonix. Is there a website in English where you can book refuges/huts in the mountains? I read this isn't the busiest period, but it is advisable to book ahead to ensure a bed.

Thanks in advance.
