We will be doing a home exchange in Strasbourg for 3 weeks in August. It is a great location for traveling to other areas. I would love suggestions about things not to miss in Strasbourg as well as the area (including restaurants or particular food, as we are foodies). Thanks.
We're going to be in France and Spain for about two weeks this summer. I have a GSM unlocked phone and want to be able to buy a sim card on a network that will give me around 2gb data and some talk time across both France and Spain. Mostly, I will be using the phone to navigate in my rental car and to call AirBNB hosts. Anyone have recommendations? My research has turned up a lot of info that is hard to follow and I just want to know what will happen if I buy a sim in France and then head into…
What's the cheapest Carcassonne - Barcelona round trip train fare for two seniors?
Hello,
I decided to hike in France for 2 month from Mid May and I'd like to hear some suggestions on which GR should I choose, it's better to be not too tough and have great flower field scenery :D.
Thank you very much!!!!!
We have a rail pass coming from Paris in mid May and would really like to experience the small villages, history, hike and and of course eat and drink in Provence. I am overwhelmed to say the least about where to choose with such a short time and no car. We as a couple are very active and wouldn't mind a self guided walking tour.
So far I am thinking to stay near Avignon for 2 nights then taking day trips, but there again we have no car (do we rent one?). We'd like to stay somewhere out of the…
Hello everyone...we have an apartment for eight full days in May in Lourmarin. We will have a car and GPS. Can you please suggest day trips for us. We probably would not want to get more than 1 1/2 hours from Lourmarin. We like beautiful places, historic sites, markets, etc. We don't mind making multiple stops during a day. Thank you so much.

Hey there,
My family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids (4 and 8) ) will be in Paris the last week of April. I've got my bucket list of things to see. Can you recommend some fun kids things? I know I won't get my days in the Louvre this time around and we are renting a car....so Vimy is on my list of day trips. But any recommendations of family friendly stuff, off the beaten path..day trips, Paris fun too....any help is greatly appreciated.
Can anyone advise how far it is between Lille Europe and Lille Flanders stations? I am travelling to Poitiers from London this July so I will be on the Eurostar for the first leg of the journey. loco website shows that there are occasional direct trains from Lille Flandres to Poitiers. I will have quite a big case and I am on my own so the distance between the two stations is a matter requiring planning. Has any one got any advice? It has to be easier than crossing Paris, surely??
Hi all
Perhaps not the most glamorous post, but my wife and I are taking our 15 month old daughter skiing with us in March. We have a transfer by coach from Grenoble airport to resort after our flight. The ski company have said that French law only requires children to be on an adult's lap when travelling by coach.
I am skeptical. The law on children tavelling in cars in France is quite restrictive, so I had thought it would be the same for coaches. However, I can't find anything at all about…
