Have folks had good luck with taking Uber in Paris?

Walking, trains and buses are pretty good there.

As long as you're near a main train route, the trains as well as the buses are super easy and go virtually everywhere. That being said, I've used Uber multiple times while in Paris, and it's always quick and never ends up being more than eight euros.

Transports in Paris are horrible and expensive. The metro is good but the RER or Taxis are not the best plan. Their is many problem and circulation is dense. Between 16 too 19h, their is too much people everywhere.

How many places require more than walking?

Thank you so much for those who answered my question about Uber. I take Lyft sometimes here in the states and I appreciate the service.

I know that all the folks are well intentioned with your answers about the metro and walking, but the reason I asked about Uber specifically is that I am traveling with someone who can't always handle going down steps, and sometimes walking for too long. I know that the metro is great and we hope to use it as often as possible - but I appreciated hearing about people's experience with Uber specifically instead of just asking about transportation in Paris in general, which is a question that has been answered here many many times.

Fair enough - but we did not have that additional information at the time, and therefore it was reasonable that we discuss / question the need for a taxi service to visit much of the central core of Paris.

The fact that a question has been asked many times (and answered) rarely stops it being asked (and answered again). Have a good trip.
