Is it possible to rent second-hand furniture in Antibes/Juans-les-pins (Nice and Cannes would do as well) for 2 months? particularly needing cot and baby-chair.

Isn't rental furniture by definition not new? Try the yellow pages -- they're in English as well. Just click on the Union Jack.

Look up AngloInfo on a search engine, and find the Riviera version. There will be bulletin boards (in English) with lists of things such as jobs, but also ads for things like used furniture. You might initiate an ad if you can't see what you're looking for.

And then there are the junk shops. No need to rent if you can buy what you need for 15€.

I would think that for 2 months it would be cheaper to buy them at Carrefour or similar
