Hi , my flight gets into Marseille at 23.00 hrs and I assume that it will take me another half hour or so to collect my luggage . That will make it too late to take the airport bus ... and I do not fancy taking a taxi at that time .

The earliest morning bus is at 6 am ... so my question : Is it possible to stay overnight at the airport itself ? Is it safe to do so ?

Any and all advice welcome .

I have slept in Marseille airport, if you arrive at the budget terminal just move to the main terminal, it is much more comfortable and is only a short walk. It was very quiet and no hassle at all
