My girlfriend and I are planning a vacation. We found some cheap flights to Marseille on June 25th and then fly back from Montpellier July 5th. Our idea is maybe to rent a car drive around the area a bit, we have a tent so we camp, and then on the 5th drop the car off in Montpellier. Now we are looking for cheap car rentals which provide this service, does anyone have any tips on this? I found europecar online, but thought it was a bit expensive, 336 euros..

I found one for 146 euros via rentalcars, so thanks richiavo :), that's more than 50% cheaper :D :D.

That is kind of expensive. I would suggest you use an online trip planner that also has a booking option. That way you can open a map o wherever you are going, see your route and check rental places along the way, you can also see the costs since you can book it online. I am usually using RoutePerfect Trip Planner (you can find it on their website), it is specific for European countries.

No probs I use them all the time. #6 146€ for 10 day car hire is expensive??? It is less than 15€ a day.
