Can anyone recommend a wonderful restaurant or vineyard or country house serving multi course and tasty lunches with lots of local wine outside on a terrace with a wonderful backdrop (lavender fields and vineyards) in the Luberon region? La Bastide de Marie looks gorgeous but a bit out of price range. Looking for something open for lunch in summer time. Thanks!

someone on Routard forum had recommended this, sounds good:

I think you'll find listing on TA for these, for more info and references...

Close to the Bastide de Marie (which is quite expensive indeed), in the same range of prices you also have la Coquillade in Gargas and the Bastide de Capelongue in Bonnieux, both with very nice views. In Bonnieux I've worked for 6 months in l'Arôme so it's up to you to find my pieces of advice to be neutral or not, but for a better budget you can eat some good meals and there is a very good choices for wines (very local wines included). Though it's in the village and there is no nice view at all, even though the inside is very cozy.
Is there any particular reason why the view is very important? In Bonnieux, there is also the Cesar but cannot call it a "wonderful restaurant" even though the panorama on the Lubéron valley is beautiful. So yes, to get the view and the quality, you'll have to choose one of the three first ideas... and put the price! :)

Grégoire.
