Hi all, I'm seeking advice here since I don't know how to get in touch with the Consulate (I did email them but not sure of their response time). We are trying to access the website to schedule an appointment for my husband to get a short term visa for an upcoming trip to France. Every time we try to get to the site, and using several different browsers, we get an error message. The link is at the bottom of this page: http://www.consulfrance-washington.org/spip.php?article440

The only thing I can think of is to go to the Consulate in person and see if they'll help me figure it out. Does anyone have any other ideas? Can anyone get through to the site?

Thank you!
Carrie

They say this:

The Appointment system is working from a PC with preferably Mozilla Firefox (the system does not work with Internet Explorer 9) or from an Apple Macintosh Computer with Firefox. Safari and Chrome browsers are NOT supported. please use and alternate internet browser to book your appointment.

Obviously, they are having problems getting their page to work. I tried it with Firefox and Windows 10, and got to a title page that was otherwise blank. I tried again and got some additional text:

  • Internet Explorer 6 (Windows) and higher versions with Service Pack 2
or Firefox 1 and higher versions
or Mozilla 1.7.8 and higher versions
    • you should also have Adobe Reader 5 or higher to print your appointment receipt.
If not, you can download the software from the Adobe website

Personally, I'd go to the consulate and try to deal with matters from there.

I have had many, many dealings with the French Consulate in Washington, DC, and have never had a problem with calling them. Pick up the phone.
