Hey people,

Sorry if these questions have been answered previously. I am struggling to get some information and French Consul website in Australia is very dull when it comes to information. They also don't like to reply to emails or calls.

Has anybody in here applied for a working holiday visa with a joint bank account? My partner and I share a bank account and I am wondering if they will frown upon that? I will be supporting myself.

I have heard that they require evidence of where you will stay for the first 3 months? What if I plan to move around a lot as I will be holidaying as well as looking for job opportunities here and there?

I have just spent 3 months in France and now I want to go back and experience more as well as support myself. Does anyone think they will have a problem with me having just return from France 2 months ago?

Last question. I haven't been employed for 5 months as I have been travelling (Previously have worked full time for 2 years to support myself). Me being unemployed a problem?

Any feedback would be great. Cheers!

I really cannot imagine any reason that they would frown upon a joint bank account. Millions of people have them. A joint bank account would be more likely to reassure authorities than frighten them.

No, I am not an expert on WHV but really, the whole point of them is for you to be able to move around a bit. Where have you heard that they require evidence that you must stay in the same place for 3 months? That sounds rather insane. Are you sure that you have done proper research?

Thanks for the reply.

Yeah I guess I am just a bit paranoid about a few things here and there.
I am sure I will be fine with a joint bank account and I believe they will correct a few things on my visa application if needed.

Cheers for the reply. :)

For anyone who may currently be struggling with info on the WHV (as I did!) I wrote a post on my experience getting it. https://hommusblog.wordpress.com - good luck!

Even though I am not part of the target audience, I think this is excellent information and you should be commended for taking the time to recount your experience.
