I'm taking my family to Paris in mid June and after a few days there we want to see a bit of the France countryside as we make our way to a week in Switzerland. Does anyone have a suggested route via train. We are a family of 5 three kids ages 13, 16, 17. Same thing for Switzerland if anyone can comment.

I need more information in order to answer.
Train route: Do you mean to go straight through from Paris to Switz, or are you planning to stop somewhere on the way? Do you mean a good route for scenery or speed? Where are you going in Switz or is that open too? The train system in Switzerland is excellent as it is in France. You can get just about anywhere you want to go.
If you are looking for a place to visit en route, then Beaune or Dijon might be good choices.

In Switzerland - go for hiking in Jungfrau region. Book a accommodation in Wengen, Mürren or Lauterbrunnen and spend your time four mountain walks around, the scenery is excellent. If you are more adventurous, go to Jungfraujoch, the highest train station in Europe.
