ok, last question for you Ton, How is it like in November Compared to March? which month would you rather go?

I'd rather go in March. Springtime could be much nicer than autumn(and November is almost like winter). In November the sun sets at least 1 hour earlier than in March.
If you decide to stay in France, but still want a taste of Germany I recommend you to spend a 2-3 days in Alsace, which is a region very much like Germany in it's character. It belonged to Germany for long periods in history and the locals are basically Germans(though most of them with a French or at least Alsatien identity rather than German identity), but looking at the houses they live in, the food they eat, the wine they make, the language they(used to) speak, evetyhing tells you they're Germans. In fact it feels more the typical Germany people usually imagine than say Brandenburg in Germany proper.

Strasbourg, the capital can be reached by train in 3 hours from Paris.

^ --- Buranto, thats exactly an experience i'd like to try. Thank you for the input.
I'm doing more comparing november vs march.
Agree that one day each in London and Germany or Switzerland is pointless on a trip like this, especially if you don't know what there is to see in either. What about jetlag, coming from the USA? How easily can you get into the tourist area of London with your luggage, and what are you going to do with your luggage when you're there? Which two or three major sites (which is all you'll have time for) are you going to see? Have you allowed an extra half-day (and additional $$$) for London-France and France-Germany/Switzerland? You should just stick to France.

March or November? Can't you make it April or October? One of the problems with weather is that's so unpredictable, but the chances of cold and wet are substantial in March and November.

Here's another vote for staying within France! You'll need at least 4-5 days to see Paris; remember that, on your arrival day, you might not do much more than go to your hotel ( and check-in might not be available until 2pm).
I love Lyon, but it's a big city, and you might be more interested in going to Alsace, as others have suggested. The journey time to Strasbourg is now only two hours on the TGV ( high-speed train). As an example, you could depart from the Est station in Paris at 8:25 AM, and arrive in Strasbourg at 10:44 am. From Strasbourg, you could go to Colmar in about an hour, so you could see both towns easily ( Colmar is much smaller). If you'd like, you could rent a car from Colmar and drive just a few minutes to see villages such as Ribeauville.
As others have recommended, the Michelin Guides are very good for Paris and for France generally.
It would be valuable to spend time reading those guides to clarify what you'd like to see during your trip.
It's vital to know that, in Paris, there are roughly 6 train stations, and you'll need to go to the correct station to take a train to whichever place you decide to see. Also vital to know that travel on the TGV requires a reservation, while " normal" trains do not, especially in November or March. See SNCF Voyages for schedules and prices and to reserve tickets .
Definitely March over November. I have been to Paris both times. November was cool and damp, March there were some of the spring flowers and leaves coming out on the trees and the day light hours are longer.
I would also recommend the Strasbourg area and the many beautiful small villages just south of there.
One day in London makes no sense. Spend the whole time in Paris, get an apartment instead of a hotel, save some money, cook a few of your own meals, get a feel of what it is like to live in the city and take advantage of the many day trips that are available from Paris and not have to find a new place to sleep each night.
