Hi,
I am planning a trip to Provence and Cote D'Azur because I love Matisse and Dufy and have wanted to visit this area forever.I saw a tour that may be okay from Road Scholar but would like to know of others.I am hoping to travel in September.I have never used an escorted tour before and would love to hear recommendations.I am also curious whether to do the land tour only and book my own travel arrangements.Like trains more than planes.

Most people on this board don't use escorted tours, and I'm not sure why you would need to. If your primary interest is in the artists Matisse and Dufy, there is no reason to try to find an escorted tour. You can easily rent a car, rent a gîte, and do it all on your own, presumably at less cost. It's not exactly hard to drive around Provence.
