Hi All,
I was wondering if anyone had any experience with walking from Collioure in France to Cadaques in Spain. Is the path well trodden? What kind of accomodation could we expect? Would there be options to camp? My boyfriend and I would like to do this during the month of July, how busy would it be?
Any information would be much appreciated.

Not done it, no...but to give you an idea of what the trek might involve, go to www.viamichelin.com
Enter the start Collioure (it will open a slot, pick the one with the street adddress for Collioure) and end Cadaques.
Don't click on anything yet. Scroll down a bit and you'll see where you can select the transport option...and it does include walking. Click on that.
It'll pull up a route and having seen it I can tell you it's 52km...13 hours if you did it all at once (you know how computers compute things).
Most of your trip is going to be through the French department of Pyrenees-Orientales. Here's the link to their tourism site (it's been useful for me for other situtions..)

I haven't done the hike (done it by car twice) but it seems that there is a well marked hiking trail (a GR?)between both towns and having travelled in the region i can only tell you that it's a wonderful stretch of coast, not at all built up, and that i have a soft spot for both Collioure and especially Cadaques.
On the map of Viamichelin you can seen which places have camping sites (apparently only in the Spanish part)and you can also see where the train is running (it leaves the coast in Llança).
There is a lot of information to be found on Google, much in French too, just type 'randonnée Collioure Cadaques' and there is accommodation in all villages and towns along the road.
