Hi all,

I'm hoping someone can assist in providing a suggestion on a place to stop half way from Chamonix to Amboise for an overnight stop.... Not keen on making the 7 hour drive in one hit.. We have to leave Chamonix on a certain date and arrive in Amboise the following day.

Not looking to stay in Beaune as we are covering that a few days later...

Hi
After Macon, the area of Solutre is nice (vineyards and beautiful villages).
If interested in history, Cluny is a landmark. Paray le Monial also.
Moulins is a city with a nice center. After Moulins, Charroux is a beautiful village.
