We have booked successfully online with SNCF in the past. Recently I have heard of Capitaine Train which gets good reviews. Has anyone any first hand knowledge of them and what would be the advantages of using them rather than the official French rail web-site?

There have been recommendations for Capitaine on this forum. Suggest you use the search function (upper right of page, next to Help) to find relevant threads.
