Hello all.

I will be traveling with my wife from Biarritz to Paris. We have about 9 days. We will have a car. Our budget is not restricted. Can you please recommend a good road trip for us? We would love a memorable trip including some great food and wine, nice small towns with beautiful scenery.

Thank you!!

This will be a 750km trip! There are some guide books written about, different sites in the Net - for example viamichelin.com. Beside great food, wine, nice small towns with beautiful scenery what you find all over the country in what are you interested to see, to visite, to stop for a night or two. And what will be the time of the year for your trip?

I suggest to visit Oradour sur Glane near Limoges. All inhabitants of this village were murdered during he second world war. I seem to remember that just one boy escaped, because he was not home, but saw it happening from outside. The village is still kept the way it was and an information-center is built next to it.

Hi
I would recommend
1 - Bordeaux and area (vineyards, castles, Saint-Emilion) - 2 days
2 - Dordogne - Sarlat area (beautiful villages, castles, good food) - 3 days
3 - Loire Valley (castles, wine) - 3 days

Hi,
You have two choices to go from Biarritz to Paris by car: either you follow the coast, either you go for the road through the Limousin (like explained by sjeanmarc1).
If you choose to follow the coast, then stop in Bordeaux, La Rochelle and then head towards the Loire valley around Tours
