Dear Friends,

I and my wife are visiting Paris for the first time. Can anyone give specific opinions on Hotel Fortuny Opera Madeliene, 35, rue de l'Arcade, Paris. Is this place worth the 380 euros we will be paying for 4 nights in May 2007.

There are many options open to you for that price range. You do have a lot of things with in walking distance in the area you mention. Here is what one person says on Trip Advisor.

If you do not require that particular location, here is one in the Latin Quarter that is about the same price or a little less and I stayed there twice and was very happy with the hotel. Most hotels in this price range have small rooms by the standards of rooms in the USA, but this is not a problem to my. I only sleep there.

When setting out on a journey, do not seek advice from those who have never left home.

Bonjour,

Madeleine-Opera is a very posh area in Paris, is very central…
so I think that the price you mentioned is what you have to pay to stay there !
