Hi everyone
We are planning our honeymoon trip to France in mid-October and need some help on figuring out a perfect itinerary.
We are going to start our trip in Geneva, spend a day there and then move on to France (Annecy, probably Mont Blanc and surroundings). We definitely want to spend a couple of days hiking in the Alps but are not quite sure what is the best spot for it in October - any advice?
We would like to do some wine tasting or maybe even spend a day or two on some wine tour but are still hesitating whether it should be in Rhone-Alps or in Provence?
And then - the most intriguing part - we need to get to the north of France, somewhere close to La-Manche as we will be heading to UK to visit some friends. So we are thinking about driving through the country and visiting some cities and chateaux in the Loire Valley and something else. Frankly, this is still a blank spot for me - so any ideas on how to make this drive interesting and breathtaking instead of exhausting will be really appreciated))
We are planning to rent a car, but prefer to cover long distances by train.
We are also more into nature & wildlife (they say the fall foliage in France is fantastic) than into museums etc.
Will be extremely thankful for any advice!
