Okay, first off my apologies for asking a question that has probably already been asked a thousand times. However, none of the other answers seemed to exactly answer what I need to know.... I have a little over a 10 hour layover in Paris at the end of April. I know my time is very sparse so I am looking to only do two things. Most importantly I want to see the Eiffel Tower up close. I am NOT planning on going to the top as I have read that will likely take far too long for such a short time frame, which is fine. Second, I want to sit down and have a nice lunch somewhere with my girlfriend. So, here are my questions....

  1. How exactly do I get from CDG to the ET? I have read it is quite the distance?

  2. Where can I have a nice french Brunch within close proximity to the ET? Something with a nice view preferably.

  3. Would I have time for anything else after Lunch? I should probably plan to be back at the airport two hours early for my flight.

I really appreciate anything you can help me with! Thanks in advance!!! :)

Ten hours is actually a lot of time to get into central Paris using the commuter train "RER B (Blue) Line" which leaves from Terminals 1 and 2 at CDG Airport.
It will take 45 minutes or so to get to the
St. Michel/ Notre Dame station. From there you can transfer to the RER C (yellow) Line to the Champ de Mar- Tour Eiffel station.

And yes- you will have several hours to see what you want in central Paris, so plan on a couple more attractions from Notre Dame Cathedral, the Musee D'Orsay Art Museum ( it has a great restaurant in a classic room that dates from the days of elegant dining rooms in train stations) the Concergerie, the Champs Élysées, the Rodin Museum-- there's so much to choose from.

Another Idea for a Restaurant is this one to have the best view on the Eiffeltower:

Could you please clarify which 10 hours?
9am to 7pm is going to be quite different than 2am til noon, for example.
