Hi fellows...
On Saturday morning we land in Vienna and want in the same day to reach the town Schonau (in Steinernes Meer).
Can we do it on the same day by train or we need to stay overnight somewhere…?

There is also a Schönau an der Triesting and Bad Schönau, both located in lower Austria. You should propably specify to which of those you want to go.

There is no Schonau nowhere. If it is Schönau you have one near Vianna, anotherone in Germany near Berchtesgarden. There are also different parts called Steinernes Meer, for example in the Bohemian Forest in the north of Bavaria and the one also near Berchtesgarden who is half in Germany, half in Austria. Supposing this is what you are looking for, the advise in #1 is great and what you need.
