Just 1 very important question. What are the places in Vienna, Salzburg and Budapest that I can look for hotel rooms, so that it is not too far away and isolated from everything?

Do you mean location? In Salzburg, if you can't get anything in the Altstadt (Old Town), try the area around Mirabell Palace- around 15-20 min walk from the Old Town.
In Vienna try something in the Innere Stadt (Inner City). Although we weren't there, we found our location fine: around 25 min walk southeast from the entrance of the Innere Stadt, near the Renweg. There were some restaurants and it was certainly not isolated.
