Hi all
Have a wedding in Fairlie in early July, and just trying to find accommodation for Friday/ Saturday night at a B&B/ hostel somewhere there, or Largs or in West Kilbride.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions
Hi there I am going to London for 5 days. My lodging is taken care of. Would 800 US be a comfortable amount to eat drink and get around comfortably. Also anyone have any recommendations for a cheap pay as you go mobile phone and where i should buy one while I'm there. From reading posts it sounds like I should be ok. Just doing a sanity check. Thanks!
...aside from marriage, does anyone have any ideas how to legally remain in the UK after one's WHV expires?
I've heard some people talk about applying for leave to remain after a certain period of time residing in the UK (of which I think the WHV period would apply)...of course, during this time I'd still need to have some sort of income to support myself.
The only potential way I can see of doing it (since I'm not a highly skilled worker or one of the shortlisted occupations) is to perhaps apply…
I´m interested in a job in London with this salary. Translated into canadian dollars this is much more money than I´ve ever made before (and could live here like a king), but still suspect it is not much to go on in the UK. What´s my lifestyle going to be like? I´m used to the semi-bum student life, will this continue? Thanks.
Hello!
To anyone familiar with flying (particularly from the US to the UK) : When is the best time to fly during the period of time between june and august, as far as cost is concerned? Similarly, when is the optimal period of time prior to takeoff to purchase those tickets? I know the price fluctuates depending on how far or near you are to the date of arrival. Buying too early or too late can result in a lot of wasted money.
Can anyone give a few pointers? Thanks.

Hey there,
I met my partner in Eire where she lived, but I'm Australian and she's English. We're about to get a defacto visa letting me stay in Britain but we really want to head back to Ireland.
Is there anyone out there who's jumped through similar hoops in the past? If I'm legally resident in Britain does that help my chances in Ireland at all? What are my options?
Any help appreciated,
Bc
Hi,
Some time ago I posted a rediculous planning which would show me the inside of trains a lot.
The new planning is a little less in detail so we have more freedom. It generally is like this:
4 days London
-Sleep train to Fort William
6 days Scotland
- Fort William, from where I want to go mallaig and climb Ben Nevis
- Edinburgh
- Train allllll the way to the south of england (Exeter? or maybe Cardiff first) I don't know how doable this long trip is... maybe we need a stop?
5 days South-West England
-…
