I plan on getting to Killarney and Doolin in mid-May.....if I didn't book a room at a hostel a couple of weeks in advance, would I be screwed? I'm thinking I better do so for Doolin particularly, but wondering if I could just scope it out in Killarney when I get there. Any recommendations on cracking hostels in Killarney? Cheers.

I will be catching a flight to Dublin from mainland Europe in May, and would like to get to Dublin Heuston train station quickly in order to catch a train to the west coast. Can anyone tell me how far it is from airport to train station? How many minutes/hours does this trip generally take? Cheers.

hi, i currently have an irish holiday working visa and am going to go travelling around europe for a few months at the start of may. after that i want to work in either london or scotland till christmas. i was wondering if anyone had any ideas on the fastest route of getting a uk working visa for an aussie citizen in ireland, and how much it would cost approx? any ideas??? please help, im stressing out lol!

A dear friend who is a NZ citizen is currently working in the ROI on a working holiday visa. She has applied for a proper work visa but unfortunately her working holiday visa will probably expire before she hears if the proper work visa will be granted.

Does anyone know if she can enter the UK on a visa waiver and holiday there until her Irish visa is decided? If so, how long would the UK visa waiver last? ff not, is there any other holiday visa she can enter on (NOT a work visa, she doesn’t…

I've read that car hires in Ireland either cannot be done by those over 65 years of age or heavy extra costs are added. Is this true?

My husband and I are planning on flying into Glasgow, then driving around the country (including Edinburgh, Inverness, and the Highlands). We plan on renting a car to travel around. My question is -- how is the driving around Scotland, and more specifically, how are the drivers? I've never driven on the left side of the road; though I've watched my husband and his family do that when we've visited his home country, I'm a bit nervous…
