Hi my girlfriend is moving to England to study for 9 months, and I would like to go to. As an Australian I have already used my Working Holiday Visa years ago and I'm not sure what my options would be - as I need to work, a tourist visa wouldnt help. I've been told its very hard to get an employer to sponsor someone.

Hello All!

Hoping to find someone out there that has had to cope with a layover at Stansted Airport. My flight arrives at 23:45pm and the next flight out isn't until 6.45am. So I'm hoping I can crash somewhere cheaply for the 7 hours...

I've never been to Stansted so not sure what to expect.

Can anyone share some great places in London to eat some Indian Food. Nothing to expensive please and perhaps places that are more casual as I will be dining alone and I know how fancy places hate to give up tables for solo diners. Maybe places that do lunch as there is less pressure then.
I know about Brick Lane from asst. travel guides but am unsure how to get there (via the tube?) Is this a good place to start? Is there an 'Indian' section of the city?

Could anyone tell me if there are any good Bed and Breakfast in Galway City center. I found one called St. Martin's but it is full up for the two nights in May that we will be in Galway City. From my research it seems like all the other B&B's are outside of town on College Road or in Salthill.

I am going to be biking around Ireland in May/June, and I wanted to know what the cheapest/best ferry is from Ireland to the UK. Because I am on bicycle and fairly flexible, I don't really mind where I will be leaving. Some of the ferries are over $120 and that seems ridiculous! Also, are reservations required?

I land in Heathrow at 2200 and have a connecting flight from Gatwick the following morning at 0700. I am under the impression that shuttle service between airports ends after 2200. I spoke to someone from London and they said a solo female traveler should not take the tube alone that late at night. Does anyone know how I should get from airport to airport in the easiest and safest way? Thanks!

Going to be in Inverness, which is about as North as I will get but now I am thinking that it might be nice to visit the Orkneys. I won't have a car but was wondering if there were any tours that left Inverness or if anyone had taken bus? to where? (John o' Groats) and then the ferry? But what about transportation once there?
Is John o' Groats worth visiting? I will be visiting Skye but I am tempted to see so much because it all looks so interesting and so differrent.
