Hi, we are a family group of six - myself, husband, sister in law and our three sons (ages 23, 20 & 17). Flying in/out of Dublin and picking up a van from airport for the whole time. Know our time is not enough - interested in experiencing 'being in' Ireland rather than rushing around and ticking off sights. Keen to experience good pubs/live music and not too many castles/cathedrals. We have family links to Galway, Limerick, Tipperary and Arklow. Had hoped to get to Killarney and ROK but realise…
I'll be in Cardiff on April 8th and 9th. Does anyone know of a site that lists running races there?
Hi, we will be in London between March 29 - April 13. We will pack a lunch each day and would like to find public indoor spaces to have lunch. Do these spaces exist?
Just for general info :-
We will be leaving Whitehaven in early September, travelling to London for our flight home to Australia.
Can anyone describe a scenic route for us to take, spread over a few days? Any attractions, sights that we should include?
Thanks in advance, Mike
Hi
We are getting married on the Isle of Skye in august and need some help with the wedding location/venue since we are not from Scotland. We would like to get married outside, somewhere on a cliff, overlooking the sea. We also need to have a plan B in case of heavy rain, meaning a sheltered area. It will be a small wedding, just the two of us, no guests.
Can someone recommend a scenic outdoor location and a sheltered venue in that area (maybe a hotel lobby or sheltered terrace of a restaurant…
Hello,
I can only get time off for 7 days to travel ireland and I am looking for opinions on where to go and for how long. Belfast is a must because i'm a HUGE Game of Thrones fan. Do I need to go to Killarney or is spending an extra day in Cork worth it? I've heard these three cities and Dublin are awesome. so how many days in each? what do you recommend? i'll be hitting up hostels, i love the party atmosphere. i'll be going alone so i prefer to train it all.
I read recently that Sam Sangster (son of deceased multi millionaire Robert Sangster) was refused entry to Dubai.
The reason was he was travelling with a Manx passport that apparently Dubai does not recognise.
Mr Sangster has a Manx passport as he is resident in the Isle of Man. As I was born in the Isle of Man I can also have a Manx passport if I wish ( one of my cousins who like me lives in London has one...he also has a normal UK
passport).
My question is, do any other countries refuse entry to…
Following on from the post a couple of weeks ago about the validity of and ILR visa might like to take a look at this http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-39099574
I am somewhat puzzled on what basis the woman returned to the UK and why this was only discovered now.
I've read and reread a lot of guff on this site about buying and insuring motorhomes in UK by non-resident's.
It's 7 years since I bought a motorhome in England and I can't remember which insurance company I used, otherwise I'd go straight back to them to organise my insurance for the one I'm about to buy. Meanwhile, I know that Downunder Insurance will offer insurance for non-residents but excludes countries like Albania, Montenegro and Bosnia... 3 countries I wish to travel thru this year. My…
