If it's anything like the requirements for an Australian spouse visa, then you might find that letters/postcards/Christmas cards/thank you cards, sent to the two of saying Dear John and Jane.... will help. Although you may not have kept the envelopes, the fact that you two have been written to as a couple should help prove your relationship - especially if they are dated. I think a letter from your landlord may well help and being honest with the application - tell them what you've told us.

Hi Nbanko,

I hope your visa got approved! :)

My partner and I are preparing to apply for the unmarried partner visa, we are facing a similar problem as you, and we would like to ask some advice from you. We were living in Brazil together for two years; we had two apartments back in Brazil. I lived in my partner’s. I kept my apartment more as storage room, and went back monthly to receive and pay bills. The two apartments are very close to each other, I could walk back to check the mails, and therefore, we didn’t use the same mailing address and didn’t have joint bills. We achieve all the rest requirements of unmarried partner visa.

After reading your post, we’d like to ask how did you deal with your case at the end? Do you have any suggestions for us on showing the strong evidence of living together?

Thank you so much for your help!!

Cristina
