Trip Report : A Taste of England

Country forums / UK & Ireland / England

Hello everybody, here is a trip report / photo-essay of my recent trip to England covering Bath & region, the Cotswolds and Oxford. It was a good itinerary and may be of interest to fellow travellers wishing to visit the same areas.

I'll be doing a day trip to Bath next month from London by train so found that section most useful. Probably on a Sunday also.

Was Sunday very crowded?

Also I liked the wide-angle photos. What camera/lens did you use?

Thanks Sujaa for sharing your trip information with us.

The great quality panorama pictures about different places on your post are a great treat to watch. Stonehenge is my favourite destination and will be covering it in my 6 day itinerary to Wiltshire next week.

@chris1953 : Sorry for the late reply. Sunday in Bath was indeed crowded - our walking tour, for example, had enough people two be split into 3 groups. But the queues were not too long and there was a festive air which I enjoyed. I am happy you enjoyed the pictures. I use an ordinary digital camera, a Sony DSC-HX9V. I am a great fan of this camera and have used its previous versions (5V, 7V) as well. If you are in the market for a new camera, I am happy to recommend it.

@Jersey123: Sorry for the late reply. Thank you for the comment. Stonehenge was a surreal experience and I enjoyed it despite the rain. Hope you have better weather!

@KylaKevin : Thank you!
