Hi | ||
Homecoming 2009 run by Scottish Tourist Board is a good place to look for "what's on". Or use Google. But with that itinerary, the music you will mostly be listening to, will be on your I-pod as you trundle around Scotland on a bus/train/car. | 1
Not festivals, but if you keep an eye on pub doors and noticeboards, you will probably encounter music nights that are not listed on internet. Eg folk music clubs meet in pubs on certain night(s) each week etc. So, I'm sure you will hear music, but might not know until the day concerned. | 2
For folk festivals, http://www.folkmusic.net/htmfiles/festivals_000.htm . You will just miss Stonehaven which is supposed to be a good one (I haven't been myself). The Stornoway one would be worth a visit but no way will it fit in your schedule. Lossiemouth is a very small one but does almost fit your itinerary. More detail at ww.tmsa.info for some of these. | 3
I don't know if you're talking traditional type music festivals, but there's T in the Park, There may still be tickets available. | 4
