Can anyone help please. We are thinking about moving to somerset (near Bath fo work) and are looking at Frome. Is it a nice place to live? Are there nice walks/parks? Are there any decent pubs? Thank you.

I don't know it that well - my mother lived there for a few years until recently. But as no-one else has replied, here is my two-pennyworth: it's a nice old town with some lovely historic buildings which have been well restored in recent years, and some characterful steep narrow streets. Also a boring and predictable shopping precinct. Some parts of it are quite 'new agey' and alternative, other parts just Somerset! I dont remember any particularly good pubs, but I never really went looking for them. The walking isn't that great in the immediate locality - but then I'm spoilt for walks as I live on the edge of the Peak District.
The above seems rather negative, which i didn't mean to be. Overall I suspect it's a nice town to live in. Hope this is some use.
